Gothic minimalism concept

The idea to combine gothic and minimalistic architecture styles was born when I was working in France 3 years ago. Later I started to make sketches.

From the first glance it’s difficult to notice gothic influence in this minimalistic building, but actually it contains all main distinctive features of gothic cathedral architecture.

Welcome to 3D modeling session.

Ornate facades are probably the most distinctive and defining characteristic of Gothic architecture, so if you strip that attribute away, you pretty much lose the most obvious element that most people associate with Gothic architecture style. It's an interesting idea, but I'm not sure if it's an effective hybrid.

There are some perspective problems in your image--its vanishing point to the left isn't aligned with the buildings in the background. Also, since the building is symmetrical, the light from the main window/cross should be illuminating the steps at the bottom exactly down the middle, but in your image it's off to the left side, which doesn't make sense. The steps themselves also look odd--the left and right sides don't seem to be aligned properly to the building.

Thanks for the feedback, Lunatique!
Yeah combining gothic and minimalistic in one is tricky. But I have one idea how to emphasize Gothic elements in the structure. Good for me, I have friend who specializes in history of art and architecture — she consults me sometimes ) So this is just a matter of time.

But perspective should be fine, 'cause the sketch is based on rough 3d model.
