feedback request on a bounced painting

Hello there,

my latest work did not pass the 2D gallery standards.

My purpose was not to deliver a whole story behind the piece, but to go back to the more classic slighly-deformed-bad-guy-you-meet-in-a-game style. Hence the rougher look and not-illustration like approach.

But it failed the galley test. I'm still trying to find my own style, so any feedback would be much appreciated!

You have a back-lit scene that has two light sources--the moon, and the fire. With both light sources behind the subject, he would be a pretty dark silhouette. So the question is, what is lighting from from the front?

You're right. I did got carried away lightening the guy up. It was a bit of artistic license, brining out the body armour.

Thanks for taking your time and pointing it out, Lunatic.
