Dragon WIP

Hello All,

I have not been on here for a long time. I gave up art so some time because of life situations and overall procrastination and defeatism. However, I would like to make another attempt at become professional at some point.

Below is a piece I did the other day. I was very unhappy with it so I almost game up on it. However I renewed my conviction and would like to try and recover it somehow.

Has anyone got a little spare time to look at this and give me some pointers on where the wrong areas of the piece are and what would push out of the area of mediocrity into an area where its pleasing to the eye?

Now I believe one thing is a lack of story. But that is too broad. Another thing I saw was compositional oversight. The lines are too rough and the colours too powerful and broad.

I look forward to your insights.
