Nuke Auto Write Question

Hey guys I'm having a bit of an issue with write nodes auto creating folders structures. I created a gizmo that has multiple write nodes within the gizmo that turn on and off depending upon different settings checked on or off. In each of the write nodes "before render" slot I have this python script:

def createWriteDir():
import nuke, os
import re
#view = nuke.thisView()
views = nuke.views()
file = nuke.filename(nuke.thisNode())
dir = os.path.dirname(file)
viewdirs = []
if'%V', dir).group(): # replacing %V with view name
for v in views:
viewdirs.append(re.sub('%V', v, dir))
if len(viewdirs) == 0:
osdir = nuke.callbacks.filenameFilter(dir)
if not os.path.isdir(osdir):
os.makedirs (osdir)
for vd in viewdirs:
osdir = nuke.callbacks.filenameFilter(vd)
if not os.path.isdir(osdir):
os.makedirs (osdir)
print 'Directory (with viewname) created: %s' % (osdir)

The problem I'm having is when a write node is disabled within the gizmo it still creates an unwanted folder structure though it wont write any frames. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the help!
