Fantasy Game Art Course
Hi, I'd like to get some insight on the ''High-end Fantasy Game Art Creation'' by Katon Callaway. How is it? Is it good for beginners/newbies?
Any Response would be appreciated.

yes, its fantastic. Katon is excellent teacher. It depends on how "newbie" you are.. if you never put your hands on Maya.. dont know may be a bit tough on you.. but to tell you i never used Zbrush before that class, and at the end of it.. i was very satisfied with the results and knowledge i got.
Keep in mind that those classes require a lot of dedication, they are really quite professional and thought by crazy talanted people, so to fit in the standards you really must put all your efforts. For a person with a full time job can be really tough...
-"Who are you?" -"I am the Good Fairy" -"Then why are you walking around with this bloody axe?" -"I'm just not feeling good today!" :)

I took the course in October. Katon does a good job in the video lectures and also answering your questions and giving you helpful pointers. (I took the course with Lilly who just posted above--howdy Lilly).
You must be committed to getting your weekly assignments finished, posting progress, and reworking stuff after you get crits. Katon and other students can give you feedback and help you. There are often students in the class with a lot of ZBrush and Maya experience. You really need to take your project to completion (including textures and baking maps). Several of us in my course still pop in and share current projects and other work since we took the course. Even Katon pops in every so often to see what we are up to. You will learn a lot if you are dedicated.
