Pratt Institute NY - Computer Animation Program

Hello!

I am wondering to take computer animation certificate program at Pratt Institute but
I don't know their instructors. On the Pratt's website they don't have any image gallery
to check their portfolio.

Does anybody have any information about this program at Pratt Institute?

thank you.

Hi Mr Positive,

I forgot to mention that there are 2 different kinds of animation program at Pratt.
One is certificate program and the other one is college program (BFA and MFA). They are held in different places and taught by different professors. The link you sent is related to college program and it is different from I am looking for.

I am looking for information from someone who took or is taking certificate program classes at Pratt.

Thanks anyway.

If your looking for a CG program in New York you should check out the school of visual arts Computer animation and special effects program. Its by far the best CG program in the north east.

I'm currently a student at the BFA program at Pratt. If you're just looking for some of the faculty, you can find them here: http://dda.pratt.edu/faculty.php

The department has changed a lot in my four years here (graduating in May), so me and my fellow classmates have been through a lot of changes. If you have some specific questions feel free to PM me (although you might have to wait a week for a response considering the graduating classes films are due in a week!)

NYU's CADA is really good too! CADA and SVA seem to be the 2 schools in NYC that put out the best and most successful CG artists. Their programs are very different though, so it'll take some research to see which is best for a particular individual.

Check out NYU Digital Arts program

NYU has a Masters in Digital Imaging and Design that has a lot of animation courses. It is part of the school of professional studies, which makes me wonder how good it is, although there seems to be a tie in with CADA.. Anyone have any experience with this program?
