Lightbulb CG school recommendation

I'm sorry if such topics already exist, but I couldn't find any. Anyways, I consider continueing CG education abroad (USA, Canada, UK, Australia or any other English speaking country). I know Gnomon is the best (correct me if I'm wrong), but I'd like to know if there are alternatives that are just as good and/or are easier to get in (i'm talking visa and finances). My interests are general CG (Maya or 3ds max, ZBrush a must, modeling, texturing, lights, cameras, rendering, animation, simulation, compositing etc.).

Please do a search ahead of time. We have way too many of these posts!

VOILA! Threads about schools! Took me a couple seconds to search them!

By the way you have some amazing artwork, I don't see any reason to go to school.

cg school recommendation

hey sergage,

Gnomon from my knowledge is awesome, although I've not been, but is also quite expensive. In london there is escape studios who I've heard some really good things about, I was on their site the other day and found this http://www.escapestudios.com/en_GB/...al-effects.html. Its basically that they are doing one of their full time 18 week VFX courses for free, which I would have loved to apply to if my situation at the moment was different.

Hope that helps a bit

I get this when I click on your link "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.".

Thanks for your comment, but frankly I think that my artwork sucks ass .

Your portfolio looks great.
It's all relative - whether to go to school in the first place, and if you go - whether your ROI (return on investment) is going to be high enough.

Edit: Don't forget the sticky on schools - http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=2&t=69427
