Studying 3D Animation in Australia

I am currently looking to study 3D animation (specialising in 3D character animation for games/film) in Australia at the start of 2018. Just wondering if anyone here has had any experience with any of the schools in Australia, and if so, if they were willing to share their feedback. Also, if there are any people already in the industry here in Australia, which schools (if any) tend to get looked at more for recruitment potential.

Also, I noticed that a lot of the Animation course offerings were kind of broad in their curriculum scope (especially in their first year). It isn't until the second year that they start to specialise more towards Animation. Is this common for most Animation courses?

Finally, I have the option to study at any major Australian city. When it comes to 3D animation for games/film, is there a better location (e.g. Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane) to be based for potential internship/work experience opportunities?

Thanks in advance!
