DWIV - 3D - komae - Cyborg

Alright, time to finally get working on the war.

My concept is a Cyborg with a pet. I'd like to keep a significant portion human (head and 1-2 limbs at least). He'll use sound as his weapon by wielding a large speaker in the form of either a gun or a shield. I havent figured out a power source yet but energy will be stored in capacitors on his back and released through the speaker in the form of sound waves capable of liquefying organs and shattering glass.

The pet will be some sort of flying creature (entirely robotic) which will mount on the characters head in some fashion. It can serve the purpose of scouting, data retrieval, etc. 1-4 in the picture are pet sketches and how they connect to the head in profile. I'm heavily leaning toward 4 right now. It would swim through the air like an eel or a ray and align with the characters spine to mount.

As of yet I've got no back story but as I go im hoping feedback will help me evolve one

Thoughts?

Cool

Interesting concept of the head plugging in...like a USB key uploading info.

And, great to see another cyborg on the field! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments guys!

Moving along with the concept I've decided to make him a young (early 20s) surfer punk. The pet is mounted to his head here and the arms are pretty vague. Im thinking the logo will either be on his speaker shield or as a pattern on the shorts.

Next step: Flesh out some of the machinery on his limbs. A friend suggested that the shield have some sort of base that interlocked with his arm when wielded. So if any know of any good interlocking mechanism reference I wouldn't mind a nudge in that direction

Thanks!

U could do it like Constantine (the tattoos), have a half speaker on each arm, and he puts his arms together to launch a sound blast

Alright, Heres another updated. Its not much but i felt like i needed to start messing with things in 3D space and heres where i'm at for the speaker mounting. It would slide in (yellow arrow is how it slides in) between gears and wheels and lock into that track. When unmounted the Character would have a nice big void in his arm.

Jett, Love the Constantine idea but i cant bring myself to split the speaker. I really like how the asymmetry is working right now. But i want to try to see if i can incorporate the split idea with the logo somehow.

I really need to get cracking....
