Lighting and Compositing Lead for Lucasfilm Animation Singapore

Position: Lighting and Compositing Lead

Department: Lucasfilm Singapore (TV Animation Production)

Position Summary:

Supervises lighting and compositing and is responsible for the team of lighting, rendering and compositing artists related to the Lucas episodic TV series.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Quality and artistic supervision of lighting and compositing with input from key creatives.
  • Designs and implements and critiques generic lighting and compositing to help facilitate the creative “look” and quota of the series.
  • Determines the need and extent of mattes, paintings, effects and shaders for digitally composited shots.
  • Participates as a supervising team member in determining various design solutions and efficiency improvements, and provides artistic feedback on a shot and sequence level to other team members of the production.
Education, Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Art/Science or Computer Graphics or equivalent work experience.
  • Two or more years production experience with strong working knowledge of various software platforms including Maya, Shake, or other high end Animation software.
  • Knowledge of UNIX and shell scripts.
  • Highly proficient skills in technical problem solving.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Demo reel and/or portfolio required.
Physical Requirements:

  • Uses a computer keyboard at least 50% of total work time.
  • Job is physically located at Lucas/Singapore division.
