Inherit Parent's Global Position

Hello everyone,

I've been having a bit of an issue and can't mange to figure this out. I know I can find the answer here.

Is there any way to Bake a Simulation (for a locator) so it inherits global positions instead of local positions if parented to a joint that is animated?

I've parented a locator to a joint in order for it to stay tracked to that joint. The locator is moving with the joint as expected, however, if I were to bring that ASCII file into After Effects for example, how can I make it so the locator comes into AE with some translate data? Since it's a child of the joint it is obviously receiving local values and in After Effect the locator has no positional values.

I'm not sure what the solution may be but if there is another way to go about sending "tracking data" from Maya to AE please let me know.
Animator… a simple eight letter word. To some this word is precious—like a boundless energy spread amongst the tired.
