Question about 3rd Art and Software Used

This is probably the wrong place to post this but here is goes. Ive seen work by 3rd Art and im wondering if anyone might have some insight on what software is capable of making animations and 3d models of that quality? Im very curious as to what programs that artist might be using. I dont think DAZ or Poser is what what was used but i dont own either product myself. Any opinions are much appreciated.

Any 3d software will work. For animation, which you choose is largely irrelevant as knowing the concept of motion is many, many times more important than the tools you're using.

Just know this thread will probably get locked. Topics like this tend to cause flame wars

For 3D animation, Flash Studio Design, Flash Studio Max, 3D Studio Max are used to create 3D Models. Besides this Adobe Premiere is used to give special effects in 3D Animation and Movie Making. After Effect and Flash are also used for vector graphic design.
