Question Sonic character modeling tutorials?

Dear CGSociety,

I am looking for quality tutorials on how to model characters From Sonic The Hedgehog. I have already scoured YouTube, but there is none. Period.

Now this is just my opinion, but it's 2014. YouTube should be flooded with tutorials. It's just sad that such tutorials are scarce, if not non-existent.

I want tutorials on modeling Sonic characters only. I do not want to get used to modeling with other tutorials.

Any help?

The only sad thing here is your attitude so get rid of it.
Get used to model anything form any tutorial, get references for whatever subject you need and go for it.

The techniques aer the same regardless of the model.

Good luck.

I appreciate you wishing me luck, it's just been 7 long years since I've started trying.

What happens when you want to model something and there are no tutorials for it? You teach yourself by trial and error.

If you're not comfortable with that approach then you learn how to model something similar and apply the techniques to your subject:

That's how i got started:

Who exactly do you think should be flooding YouTube with free tutorials?

Most of us on here are probably self taught through free tutorials, or have paid for expensive education (tens of thousands in debt). So you should be able to make do with the general techniques that can be applied to any model.

Seriously though, search for some front and side elevations of Sonic (or draw your own, he's quite easy to draw). Through basic poly modelling techniques you should be able to come up with something great.

Good luck with the model. The WIP and modelling should be a great source for help and advice.
