character advice

Hi guys

can anyone tell me what the difference between high poly characters and low poly characters please?

A low poly character is good for a game where it needs to render 60+ FPS.

A high poly character is great for pre-rendered still or animation work.

Umm...just in case you were literally wondering what the difference is...

Technically, the difference is that the high poly character has lots of faces and the low poly character does not have many faces.

But I'm guessing that your question was more directed at 'purpose,' as kadory87 assumed.
