Exclamation Array & Welding Problem

Hello everyone. I'm stuck on what to do. I made a column and structure and thought I could just array then weld the columns together. Come to find out after trying with 10 copies all attached that a full column post wont weld together the vertexs so now they overlay.

Question 1: How to do I do like a symmetry of the object with alot of copies at once without having the issue of the overlaying vertexs that wont weld?

Question 2: After Question 1; How do I take the whole object and have it curve at 140-160 degrees? Basically wrap around a circle a little less than half way without distorting itself?
