Topology help :)

Hi, i'm modeling some kind of shaft but i don't know how to get this topology right (i'm kinda a noobie ). i need help.

Of course, here it is:

I'm trying to make those two tunnels but i got a little stuck with topology. i don't want to leave triangles or n-shaped geometry there.

Contrary to popular belief, there is no reason to keep quads everywhere, the only time it is not appropriate, is when you experience unwanted artifacts on the surface. While it is a good habit to work in all quads, you could easily leave triangles on the flat surface area and it wouldn't cause a problem.

If i have time, i might build something similar to your reference and show the topology.

Okay then i will leave it as it is. I always thought that everything needs to be quads. Thank you
