Help!How to convert edge turn in Maya?

hi everyone. I usually model in 3DS MAX. But I have to use Maya recently.Now I meet some questions: everytime I import the object into Maya, the edge turn is different.Can I avoid it? Another question, when I use MAX,I can convert the edge turn in edge editor, can I do the same thing in Maya?

the dashed is 'edge turn'. It affect normal map.
