Edges inporting as polygons (3ds max)

Hi, I have a model that I need to import into 3ds max, it's in obj format, and there are no faces where the faces should be. The edges of the object look like edges in wireframe but they're faces. Is there any way to turn the faces into edges and maybe cap the whole object at once? I'm fine with creating all the polygons myself but I can't collapse the edges into themselves because of the faces that think they're edges(?)

Here's an image of what I'm talking about.

Hey man,

You might have some bad data in your OBJ file. You might just need to remodel your object.
