Polygon modeling or NURBS modeling?

I make 3d models for my live-action films and I was wondering what is better for making films, polygon modeling or NURBS modeling, because I know alot of games do polygon modeling.

NURBs aren't used much in the entertainment industry. When they get used at all, they're normally converted to polygons before being passed down the pipeline.

Hey man,

You'll use polygons the overwhelming majority of the time. NURBS are good in rare situations where you need super accurate cutouts in objects. Like for example, if you have a really well lit sphere with sharp highlights, and you need to cut shapes out of it.
