Understanding modeling better!

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone knew if it is helpfull to sculpt in real life, like for example with clay so you can get a better look and feel for it, is this a good approche to take a step further for modeling in 3D.

Any artistic endevour undertaken can only bene.fit your 3d art. Training your eye to see forms is invaluable. And real world sculpting in particular when transfering to digital sculpting. Almost all of the top Zbrush artists are from a traditional sculpting or make-up Fx background.

Thank you very much, this was the answer I was looking for. Any recommendation on where to begin? Or begin at least reading?
