Face Robot Axis Issue

I have recorded some face mocap on a 12 camera setup.

Exported data as .c3d

.c3d data opens up fine in Motionbuilder, with the face looking down the Z axis.
The data originated in NaturalPoint Arena, again, looking down the Z axis.

Import the data into face robot and all of a sudden the data is looking down the X axis.

Concerned there may be some odd difference in world space coordinates going on between the apps (Im new to Softimage) I import an obj I know looks down the Z axis fine, as one would expect it imports in the correct manner.... so I know that XSI, Maya and Motionbuilder all share the same Y up system.

I really am at a loss as to why this may be happening... unless ithere is a pref in SI that I cant find...

So, my question is, why would a .c3d file open fine across Motionbuilder and Maya (via an FBX tranlsation) and yet get a bit weird when brought into facerobot....

Any light shed on this greatly appreciated.

thanks you for your time
