Just spoke with exocortex support over the mail and they will release a version next week that fixes the import issues i've been experiencing.
Kudos to them.

I didn't know that! Very sad for Softimage Users!

I tried to compile it using VS 2010, it kinda works works, not error on 'init_all.cmd' but when I try 'build_softimage.cmd', I get this error:

'vcbuild' is not recognized as an internal or external command...

Any ideas on this one?

Some phyton alembic stuff here

Quote: PyAlembic provides bindings for the Alembic computer graphics interchange framework. Includes PyIlmBase.

Don't know if this helps or not.

Exocortex released 1.1.120.
It now imports the animation data in octawu's scene.
