Question Softimage 2013 to 2012

Hi I'm a new to this and I'm not sure if I should be posting this here either. I apologize in advance if this is not the place but Im gunna ask anyway cuz I really need the help XD

so I'm an animation student and recently my XSI was upgraded to 2013 and I worked on it for a while and saved a few scenes. A few days later my school turned it back to 2012. Now I cant open the scene file. Is there any way to open my scene file without losing all my keyed animation?

You can try a mix of FBX and other individual bits, emdls and scenes are hard version locked to major releases and not backward compatible.
Worse come to worst, if it's just the animation curves, you can write a couple small scripts to export batches of fraw curves and reapply them in an older scene.
