![]() one more question :-) I was reading about the SSDs on internet and I saw it is could for the paging (reducing render time)...didnt understood everything though ;-)
I use lots of proxies, do the SSDs help to shorten the render time in that case? PS: I found few gamers Latptops for little less than 1000€, I search more, could be good |

![]() I think I found a Notebook now (see underneath the one for 1100€, with the GeForce):
Something still I have in the back of the head: when I went to the shops in the city, they told me that for 3ds max I would need a GPU that is a Quadro or a Firepro but on the internet there is this website http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile...List.844.0.html where the values of the Quadro 3000 is way lower than the Quadro.. Do you also think that this CSL is better than the Elitebook? 1100 € + 90€ to have 16 Gb RAM - Notebook CSL Gaming i7-4700MQ - 43 cm (17,3") - Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ, 4th gen. (4700MQ 4x 2,4 GHz, mit Intel® Turbo Boost bis zu 3,4 GHz (4th Gen)) - Nvidia® GeForce GTX 765M 2GB GDDR5, DirectX 11 - 8 GB RAM w/ 1600 Mhz, max 24 GB, 1 TB HDD - Win 7 Home Premium (64-Bit) Pixel shader 768 Shader speed 850 3DMark11 = 4061 GFLOPS = 1,3 millions 1450€ as a display article (new price was 2750€) - HP EliteBook 8760w Mobile Workstation - 43 cm (17,3") - Intel® Core™ i7 (2. Generation) 2630QM 4x 2,0 GHz (TurboBoost bis zu 2.90 GHz) - NVIDIA Quadro 3000M 2048 MB DDR5 - 16 GB RAM, psb till 32 GB but the 4 busses are already used. - 256 GB SSD - Microsoft® Windows® 7 Professional (64 Bit) Pixel shader 240 Shader speed 900 3DMark11 = 1539 GFLOPS = 432 000 |

The SSD will do nothing for render times. render speed is going to be 99% cpu, 1% ram

![]() Even if youre loading in giant fluid sims, its still pretty much at the bottom of the list in render time affecting components. __________________
