FirePro V5900 vs GeForce GTX 680 SC

Hi everyone,

I'm in the market for a new video card. My options are the ATI FirePro V5900, and the GeForce GTX 680 SC.

My current system is:

CPU: Intel Core i7 3770
RAM: Corsair 16 GB DDR3
Motherboard: Asrock B75M

My main priority is maya's viewport performance, although I also do some heavy work in after effects, zbrush, and photoshop. I don't plan on gaming at all on this system, so it's not to be taken into consideration. My budget for the video card, is about 480 USD max.

Reading reviews and benchmarks has been very confusing, because gaming cards are rarely compared to workstation cards. So I'm waiting to hear your experiences, thanks in advance guys.

Here are the product links for additional info

Amazon - FirePro V5900

Amazon - GeForce GTX 680 SC
