cubic fire... cool
I like your image- especially since the background looks real- it creates this feeling of abiguity... good job!

Wow, your best submission yet in my opinion. What are your programming techniques? Do you generally have an idea of what you want the final render to look like, or do you just build off a piece of code and loop it? Simply amazing either way.

NICE! I love L-system style renders...I will see you around the bend!
however...I dont really like the context...the plant being placed in the context of a concrete room....and I only wish I could see more detail... but I do like the shading... great job. |

I like the context, especially contrast among plant and concrete room. It is like a dynamic - passive and hard can be broken by soft, tender and so on.
P.S.To See More details on this image would be a good thing. Last edited by Artnat : 12 December 2007 at 03:20 PM. |

Somebody should explain what a fractal means. You cannot speak about 500000 fractals...How on earth have you generate fractal geometry that has a fixed number? It seems to me like 500000 particles and you instance perhaps L shape geometry to the particles.I recognize a ramp on the rgbPP that's driving the cubes color on the instancer node...Big deal!!! Somebody should verify what technique have you used before...And particle objects accept only mel expressions...for now!You cannot speak about 500000 poly when it comes to fractals..perhaps 500000 iterations...But congratulations after all! There were A LOT of other beautifull images that really worth the prize...(no offence but i don't find anything amazing in this image with a background picture)

Let me start off by saying that I think its quite obvious you have no idea what you are talking about. I'm not sure where you got the word "fractal" from, but I can assure you it is not a fractal nor an L-system. Again, It's 500,000 cubes generated from Python scripts for Maya... Read the entire thread next time before making an a$$ of yourself. |
