Line Art or Model: ... and wronger still :-)

Here he is skinned and posed. This might not be the final pose but it seemed like a good start.

The face hasn't changed but works seems to work quite well. I'll work on it a bit - maybe a knowing smile...

I have lost the displacement maps as I made them when the model was in individual peices - they need to be consolidated into one texture before they can be rendered.

I actually prefer the tights without the displacement map - just the bump map. The wrinkles are much more subtle. The leotard and shoes definately work better with displacement though (as seen on previous full size render).

Thanks guys.

Just recruited some more members of my family to act as reference for the next character which I start work on in the next couple of days.

My mum is going to be the dance teacher and my sister and girlfriend will be the balerinas in the background.

The idea is really cool, but rendering quality and texturing is just awesome.

Keep it up.

Hey, that's going very well! Great work!
I just LOVE hand poses - very "girly" and elegant !
He seems to be out of balance a bit, but it works well I think. But you may want to work a little with the facial expression - may be let him look upwards, like enjoying what he is doing?

Looking forward to see the whole family portrait

Demitsuri, thanks very much

musi,

Agreed. The face is just the default expression that I modelled with the character. By fluke it kinda works but I will definately go in and alter it a bit.

Line Art or Model: Dance Teacher Head

I've started on the dance teacher - a stereotypical middle aged, arty type.

Great concept and great models!! But I would have loved it even more if the dance teacher was one of those "middle-aged-rich-kinda-women". Or I don't know, what will this guy do? What will his facialexpression be like?

Very funny work, man!

Good luck!

Good modeling.

But he still looks so sad.

The eRK,

Hey man, that heade model is the middle-aged-rich-kinda-women! I decided to base the model on my mum and that was an attempt at modelling her by pulling around the model I made of my dad (the ballerina). It hasn't really worked and subsequetly I'm in the process of remodelling her properly from scratch. Whether it's a close liekness to her or not it should at least be more feminine... I'll post it soon.

Her expression wil be one of love and admiration for her star pupil :-)

TomAndersen, cheers dude.

Demitsuri,

Do you mean the ballerina? He does a bit but I want thim to look like he's really into it - concentrating, feeling the emotion of the music, that sort of thing. I'll definately go back and work on it at some point. Cheers.

Line Art or Model: Dance Teacher

I've remodeled and textured the dance teacher's head.

Rendering is done with VRay.
