Morning mac!
Thanks brother for the kind words! Of course you look a lot better, this is just a
"strange" interpretation of your splendid being, lowpoly, no hair or brows, and eh,
no clothes! Yet! I hope I can satisfy both you and your fans later today when I add
those mising parts!
And you are done dancing, you will see a little bit later!!!
I belive we share the same passion, you will have your Red!

Awaiting more updates on your thread!

Keep cool brother!

That looks like an excellent mesh. I'm looking forward to seeing you pose him - you did a great job posing the female character
Mark David
People need nature more than nature needs people

Thanks mark! I'm trying to do the best I can, with as little geometry as possible, those characters will apear as small dots in the big scene, you know!
Glad you liked the poses so far!

Modeling: Joaquim and Vigdis

(Lower right part of the initial sketch)

Now they only need some clothes and props,
or do they?
  08 August 2007

YEAH!!! No clothes or props, thanks... I'm good!
Man you ROCK!!!

And the girl looks... very well built! I'm afraid I can't show this at home but... By the way... after this one, if it get's in the wrong hands... you'd better start looking over your shoulder... And I'm better off living beneath some bridge... AHAHAHAHA

Very cool modelling and pose man! You're definitelly in your element!

Be cool bror
I'm back...

Hehee, that was a good one mac!

Doh, I wasn't thinking about the "conditions", but you could perhaps say it's your evil twin
brother or the name was misspelled!
If you survive this one, I buy you a beer on Oct. 2nd.

Stay sharp brother!

hey nice work mate.... good job with the modeling... are u goin for a realistic look or a stylized one?...
  08 August 2007
Hi overcontrast and thanks for the comment!
I guess it will lean more toward the realistic pole, although the style of the fish, both
texture and shading, when it's done, will dictate the style for the rest of the scene!
Thanks again for stoping by!

Modeling: Free Willy (not)!

I think I will be replacing the fish with a more realistic one, a whale for example!

Displacement and Occlusion!
I had to step down from 32 to 16 bit displacement in order to make the map readable for Maya! Next, I will add color and bump maps! I guess I will be using subsurface scattering for this one!

Maybe you would have convert it to .map which is a MR file in 32 bits so you wouldn't lost 16 bits !

Man, I didn't even think about the possibelity! I guess I was terrified about the look of the
new disp exporter 3 output, completely monochrome grey! it looked like there was no
information in the file at all!
Thanks a lot gpepper for the hot tip, I will definitely remember using that from this point on!
