Transparent brush...

Mudbox needs a good transparent brush, maybe like a marker, but one that doesn't build up color like a marker does.

The Hue brush works okay when you already have color, but if you're trying to color over a grayscale "underpainting", it's useless since it only alters existing hue, and of course there is no hue to change in grayscale.
And trying to do it evenly with the airbrush is very tedious.

I know... 'make a suggestion' and I will, but I always like to see what other people think too.

I agree. I was trying to do some cartoony texturing a while back and the lack of this sort of tool or option made it not really work as well as I'd hoped.

I just ended up using Painter 11 for what I needed to do. Really, there wasn't even any need to do it in Mudbox in 3D in the first place.

But there have been many other times when I wished I could just paint a totally even transparent color over something in Mudbox, or better still, make a selection and fill it with a transparent color.
