Rough Storyboards or 3D pre-visualization: Asteriod Test Concepts v-01

Just an initial stab at the asteriod concept. I realize now that Greg's asteriod is 90km by 290km so I'll have to rework its proportions somewhat. By the way has anyone read as far as the part of the book where the asteriod is confirmed as Juno? Quick check on Wiki says that Juno is actually 290km×240km×190km and comments on this. For now I'll stick with Gregs version but it did get me wondering.

I have also been working on the inner perspective of the chambers, lots of height and depth, as a still image it would be very difficult to do indeed but animated I can see how the whole range of dimensions can be incorporated.

Glad to see you're able to post again. I've been enjoying that image of the Earth ever since you put it up. And I really like the lighting on the second shot of the asteroid. The chamber shots are great too; very atmospheric. Definitely one of the more unique concepts of the chambers I've seen so far.

I love those huge curved structures spanning across the chamber, it adds a very interesting twist to Greg Bear's chamber concept. Good luck and I hope to see an update soon.
