Concept Sketch or 3D pre-visualization: Eon_Mood_4

So here is another mood shot - trying to figure out angles and such for the animation.. i envisage the main centerfuge of the object rotating slowly as the camera glides past.. surreal kinda space noise and some funky lighting !

you can also see some modelling updates i made to the suspended buildings and cities !

Really beautiful work, alltough the shape of the building looks crazy, its still logical and believable.

I love the direction this is taking. However I question the curvey projections on the bottom? It does not make sense to me in that it seems a contrast to the rest of the geometry. I love the looks just don;t understand it. My question is why change to this design instead of the, in my opinion better design like in post #62? Or are you going to blend to two designs together or is it that theres just more to come that will unite it all together cohesively?

thanks for the replies everyone

i think the buildings will eventually be a merge of the 2 designs..

basically i will also add some buildings on the floor of the canyon so the cables hanging down will be interacting somehow with these buildings..

thanks a lot

looks good so far, i really like the paintover you did, it just has the right look and feel to it!
The bg matte is nice, but too chaotic i think, some of the clouds don't seem to match very well. I'm waiting for more updates!

wow i really love the models so far... and the paintover really helps show what you're going for in terms of its functions... can't wait to see what you do with the buildings on the canyon floor! seems like it would be hard for buildings to stand on it now, but i'm sure you have some good ideas in mind =)

Modeling: Eon Model 2

A second modelling update..

detailing the suspension and bridges across.
the GLow is a sort of energy field that holds up the buildings and platforms - only hand drawn on at the moment just to get an idea

cheers
