Thanks idyeaah, for commenting, I'm pleased with it so far. I'm going to continue with this idea I think.
Thanks again.

Thanks walrus, I'm going to model some of the city to correct any perspective misalignment on my next image. I'm still not sure on the look of the buildings on the lower levels though. I think I will try adding more curves to the buildings to make them more interesting. Thanks again.

Concept Art: Thistledown - Sketch 2

I'm now working out the final details.
still not sure of the composition of this one though, I'm considering adding more width on the left side of the image.

Be sure. It has all it needs: atmospherics, perspective, a spectacular angle and also an advanced architectural modulation. Very cool indeed. I'm still working my minds out on how to make a spectacular background for my scene but not competing with the alien gathering scene point of interest. Good luck and hope you'll decide that this sketch is the one. And it is!

Thanks Radu.. I'm starting to feel very positive about this composition, but I still think it needs more on the left, I do have something in mind that will greatly improve the composition.
I'm just very worried about the short time I have to do so much work.

Working against time is also my nemesis.

On the left side of your comp you could make the character whatch the scenery by turning him/her facing it, leaning over the fenced edge. The simplicity and the massive structures on the left side also give the character a focusing bonus, by isolating it from the hard and very detailed structures on the secondary and third planes. You should, indeed refine the character (you can even enlarge it a little bit), but I think that the left side poses no problem. Keep it cool. Use more 3D. This would give you a sprint bonus against the short-term deadline. I intend to use 3D too.

Thanks again Radu for your very helpful advise I really appreciate the feedback. I'm planning to have the character looking to the left, as I'm expanding the scene quite far. I think the size of the Thistledown Sketch 2 image that I've just submitted will be one third of the total size of the final image, So I've really have allot of work to get through.. but it will be worth it.
I'd better get on with some painting.

Concept Art: Thistledown - Final Composition

This is my final composition. I'm a little concerned it could start looking a bit too busy when I start to paint more detail, perhaps the perspective layers of atmosphere should tone parts of the detail in the image down slightly, so hopefully it all should look balanced.
