RenderMan information

Hi, I wasn't really sure where to post this, but I am writing a paper about the pros and cons of RenderMan and I am wondering if anyone knows any reliable articles or websites with some pros or cons, preferably mostly cons because I can't seem to find any more than what I already have.

I'm sure people can help with filling in whatever blanks you have, but you'll have to present more of what you're starting with first.

Why don't you post a quick outline of what you already have in your pros and cons lists, and what sources you're using, just to give people an idea?

If this is is for a paper, is there any customer in mind (are you discussing what's ideal for a large game developer like Square USA? For an individual artist on a PowerBook?)? What RenderMan package are you looking at vs. which renderers are you comparing it to, and for use with which program?
