Baking Ramp Shader

Hello world!

I'd like to find a way to bake an image sequence of the color channel of a ramp shader applied to an object. Have you got any ideas? Is it possible do this in Mental Ray?
I`ll be grateful for some tips.

I'm not clear on what you are trying to achieve. Can you explain in more detail?

Hey orzelcg,

I'm not sure if this will achieve what your going for, but you could convert your ramp shader to file textures, then use those file textures as an image sequence. Hope this solves your issue.

I`d like to bake in every frame shading information from ramp shader. As you know shadowing in this shader depends on the position of the object relative to the light. So I want to have in textures this kind of dependence.
