Lat long lens render

Hi guys
I am currently trying to render an underwater scene using the environment fog in maya.
The image i want has to be a 360 panoramic so im using the latlong lens mental ray shader however the fog only renders in the middle of the rendered image. I also tried to create a fog effect with volume primitives but when it gets rendered it leaves curved seams where the fog doesnt match. if i get rid of the fog the image renders perfectly.
Any help or suggestions wud b great

The problem you have is with the lens shader itself. Not much you can do, unless the dev addresses it.
