Arnold visible lights

Hi im trying to render out an HDRI map with a spherical camera from a scene similar to what is described here: https://support.solidangle.com/disp...pherical+Camera

Problem is, the lights do not show up in the render. They do light the scene but the lights themselves are not visible. I believe I ticked all the possible boxes relating to 'make light visible'
anybody else had that before?

thank you!
