Mr Lighting issue



Hi, I'm having issues with the lighting for this MR render in 3dsmax. It's a scene lit with a single light and for plane areas like the counter I'm getting areas that are lighter or darker than the parts of the model around them for some strange reason. Has anyone any idea why this is so?

Might be an issue with smoothing groups. You could try applying a smooth modifier and seeing what happens.

It doesn't *look* like doubled geometry, but that might be worth checking too (in other words: check to make sure you don't have 2 polygons sitting exactly on top of each other).

I got it, it was an issue with the y channel in the normal maps. Thank you
