"there are no caustic photon emitters in the scene" Even when generate caustics set.

So I am trying to render some glass with MR caustics, and even with generate caustics set in the object properties, and the "all objects generate and receive GI & caustics" checked I still get the error "there are no caustic photon emitters in the scene". It is really bothering me as I have followed several tutorials exactly step by step without luck. Has anyone had this problem before?

you need a light that generates the caustics. best is a spotlight with option checked for emitting caustics. here you set the number of caustics and its intensity. spotlight because you can concentrate the caustics only on these objects which should emit them.
