HCR Modeling # 41: Heroes of Saturday Morning- MASK

Don't know what I'm gonna do exactly...but I remember MASK growing up and I had a lot of their toys. I also had to make this guy today just for fun.

We'll see what else I have time to do..maybe the kid or other guys from MASK. This guy, T-BOB, also turns into the kid's scooter so maybe I'll make a transformed version!

Nice start
I only really have 2 crits, The wrist is white and the "claws" are dark in the drawing, but the other way around on your model, and maybe the eyes should be a bit closer to etch other? Other then that, it looks really good. Keep up!

Thanks guys, yeah that render is a little old, and as you can imagine, the cartoon is very inconsistent as to where eyes are placed and what not. I"ll just make it look cool. Think I'll try making the kid next...

A little update...i worked on the kid a bit. His name is Scott Trakker, adopted son of the hero, Matt Trakker. In the tv series, Scott and T-Bob run around together and get in dumb trouble.

I started with a zsphere base and started extracting parts. I used zbrush's "julie" model in the background to get my zsphere proportions right but that model wasn't used at all, only for propotion refrence. I also started with a simple zbrush head base that ships with zbrush after 3 failed attempts get my own head up and running. I did lots of pushing and pulling to change the proportions to a child's face.

Messin around with this again today, i'm making a version of T-Bob in his unicycle form. I started with a traditional motorcycle wheel with disc brake and tri-spoked rim ,but that was sort of too sporty and not robotic enough. Since his wheel would probably be electric, I found this real world concept that was kind of cool, so I'm incorporating it into TBob since the reference on his wheels is a bit fuzzy:

LOL...Dat wheel placement tho...poor Tbob.
Models looking great so far.
Yeah...these cartoons were really inconsistent with colors and placement of small details. Little did the makers know that years later a bunch of 3D people would be scrutinizing every frame for details.

Well my wife gave birth to our first child on the 1st of the month, so we'll see how much time I have now I have a couple more things to post that I did before that, but that might be it for this project. Oh well! It's great being a dad!

Edit: Oh wow, just saw this is due the 15th! Yeah I'm not getting much else done...maybe his shoe...

Haha yeah I'm not being too hard on myself about it, but it was fun to just make these two simpler guys.

I made some shoes and worked on the clothing a bit more...his hands are pretty awful, but oh well, maybe if I get some free time during lunches between now and wednesday I can do a few more things
