HCM #39: Giants Monsters/ Giants Robots : Gojulas (Zoids)

Was racking my brains for the last few days on what I could do for this challenge then it hit me - ZOIDS - Loved them as a kid and my fav one was the T-Rex type one - which I just found out is called Gojulas. So going to give this a go - Will probably update from the toy I had as a kid - for this new verson thats out this christmas but this still going to be fun ....

Made a start on the upper jaw and cockpit area. Still early days.

Thx guys.

More work done today - still just on the upper jaw of the head. Some of these shapes have been nightmares.

Bloody Nora! The head alone is super-complex!

Great idea as you get to do a monster and the robot in one. Best of luck my friend.

Yer I thought this guy was going to be easy - I was very wrong.

Did not think of it that way but I guess he is a bit of both.

Some quick screen grabs of the cockpit done

Some small tweaks to the upper jaw made as well to improve the flow of geo.

OMG I didn't know you could actually play them on-line! Thank you so much!

That head is looking gob-smacking. Can't wait to see the rest of the model unfold.

Not a problem.

Inner mouth = done

Moving on to the neck - ref for this part is poor (very little on the back area) so making do with what I got

Well it turns out someone must have heard me as I found a new set of photos of the kit - and they are at some great angles that cover alot of parts I could not see before (including the top of the inner mouth).

With that in mind created a second neck ref image

Now to get to work on it.
