HCM #39: Giant Monsters/Giant Robots - Cthulhu

Im feeling the call of cthulhu! I always wanted to work on this model and now seems like a good time. besides, the monsters are greatly outnumbered right now! this is all ref I collected online, its all super cool! I really want an "ancient" thing going on here.

i wanted to get this up so no one thought i was wasting one of the best monsters, just hope to do it justice

here is what i have started. imagine the whole thing thicker, more volume. I am going to work toward a very crab/octopus mixture here, lots of chitinous shell blended with wet squishy flesh and lots of spikes. over it might get a bit noisy but i hope it will work. tough part is seeing any scale yet. I might have to create a wip city to place this guy in so I can get the proportions just right.

let me know what you think, wont get to update this very often so loads of time to integrate any good ideas into my work

cheers

So far the head is looking pretty good, I like the teeth stomach thing going on too. I agree with your overall thickness comment, especially the arms.
