HCM #39: Giants Monsters/ Giants Robots : Patlabor AV98

I plan to model the Patlabor AV98 Ingram. Mobile Police unit in the anime Patlabor.

If I have time, I will model the interior and maybe a character in it. But I focus on the exterior.

No texture for me this time. Purely modeling.

The cool part of that challenge is that we can all find our blueprints. Anime mechas are model for years.

I believe in a good topology first before importing in zbrush.

That character looks pretty cool. Good luck, should be a fun model.

I block the top body part. I probably will redo the shoulders. The gyrophares are good for lowres but the shoulders have not the good shape.

I use shaders without too much specular for the critics. Also I don't use black or white.. just grey tones for the same reason.

Its nice when you find a software that enables you to do new things or just speed up your workflow.

I would like to help visually identify my modification from WIP to an other. Sometime It's hard in a large view to notice the changes. So for now on, I do a "Greenish color" pass on the meshs that I have added or modified.

So Just look at my preview wip.
