HARDCORE MODELING!: Femme Fatale: Isabel(Your Highness)

I am going to be modeling Isabel from the movie Your Highness. There are some good starts so I have a bit of catching up to do.

The proportions seem a little off not? quite large torso? I'm not sure, could be also just from seeing that resident evil femme fatala a second ago

Yeah, the torso looks elongated and her hands too large.

Real nice details!
You could retopo the model now and include the head with the body, project the details on the new mesh and just move around the very low poly version to make the proportions sexier

@Menesis You were definitely right I think I had an extra half head or so in there.
@Wyatt Yeah, her hands were to large thanks for point it out.
@Kanga That is a good suggestion, I always tend to make my women models a little to manly. So hopefully I can pull off the sexy!

Update on her face, I think its starting to somewhat look like her.

Ooh that is a million times better!
Do a rotation of the head with a couple of pics at different angles to get the best help from your colleagues. It is difficult to comment on a straight on shot.

Cheers

I think the hands are too big and you have some pinching on the corners of the mouth and the bottom of the nose. I think you can just run a clay brush over it and it will be gone.

Hrm, she's really looking too skinny.

I'll reserve final judgement until she's been clothed.

The shoulders seem way too wide in relation to the hips. The upper chest and back are looking really stretched to accommodate the arms being so far out. You've got all the anatomy there, now it just needs to overlap a bit more. The collar bone seems to be the right width, the shoulders are just too wide beneath that. Grab the arms from the shoulder muscles and just move them in a bit so that they overlap more naturally with the rib cage.

This won't be much of an issue once she's posed, but the stance of the lower legs seems unnatural. The ref you posted has an almost side shot of the leg. I prefer to model in a relaxed position or in a position important to the final pose. Just keep her weight in mind for the final pose.

The model has come a long way. The likeness is unmistakable now. Focus on what will be in the final presentation. The clothes are going to be a big part of this. Looking forward to the finished piece.

Yeah like the others said with the proportions. Neck shorter, hands smaller. I think if you took the model back to the base level of subd and messed with the proportions you would be surprised with the result because you have done a great job on the details. I think if the figure had more curves like the hips and thighs it would make a lot of difference.

Great work,
Keep on trukin'

@gyarados Thanks for the pointers, I have not done any work on the head since your comment so it still has that pinching. I did scale down her hands a bit they are prob still a little to big.

@h2olt I actually didn't fatten her up yet but I think clothed she is looking alright, let me know what you think. I only have a front angle for you though sorry. I did bring in the shoulders and arms a bit. I think it helped so thanks for catching that, that area was bothering me a little so I am happy its looking better I think.

@kanga I didn't bring down her neck yet so that is prob still an issue. She is appearing to have a bit more curves to her now that she is clothed let me know if you think I should still emphasis it more.

So here is the update brought the shoulders in a little bit, and other then that mostly just started roughing in her clothes.
ps her boots look really poor at the moment.

Nice update,
Good improvements. Clavicle seems a bit too pronounced, but overall, nice progress.
