Thanks for the pointers gyarados.
I have tried to tweek the bits you said. Bigger chin and lips and tried to improve the forehead.
Now that I have rendered the head out again, I think I have to fix more on the forehead, and make the eyes and lips a tad bigger, will try to make the nosetip face a bit more up aswell.

So far the renderingtime is around 2 minutes, maybe 3 with the hair.
I use Vray in 3d studio max.
The hair, I exported a obj-file that I imported into max, so its geometry.
Also need to fix the neck, the anatomy isn't right.

Taking a small break from the head and started sculpting a bit on the lowest layer of clothes on the torso. I will be making some hotpants and a shirt/dress thing on top of this one later.

I still think the forehead is either too rounded and/or sticks out too much where it joins the nose. There also appears to be some pinching in the corners of the mouth and nose. The ears also look too small and lacking in shape.

Forehead is way too high. Get the Bluray out and look at this shot.

Hey it does look better, but the proportions still look off. Heres a suggestion not as a blueprint, but areas you should look over. I hope i saved the gif correctly.

Looking good!
The skull is high because you are probably looking at the hair of the actor. You have some really good stuff going on in there. What really helps is to have a reference at hand while you are modelling. Try using a DAZ figure to rotate around and check out how the nose is structured and how the lips sit in the muzzle. You can take traits from the actress but there is a lot of common structure between all people.

I think DAZ is free to download now and it has excellent models for study. Actually that was what the software was originally intended for, as an artistic reference.

The terminal velocity of individual particles is directly related to pink rabbits on a bank holiday.

Great gif gyarados! this is very helpful!

Airflow: ... I am ashamed of myself, I have watched the movie countless times, and I totally forgot about that scene, it's perfect for 3d modelling. I just have to get myself a bluray player for my computer, I have the film on bluray, but I don't want to take pictures of my tv, hehe.

Take the paint off till you got the sculpt right, plain grey is more helpful. Thin down the cheeks. Look over the jaw and the height of the nose.
