I studied some of your refs and it seems the wheels could probably be made a bit bigger and brought towards the outside of the fender. I think they are inset a bit too much.
Old 12 December 2012   #34
Agreed! Was thinking that myself. Need to do the spindle and Was thinking about doing the brakes.

The small ones are the actual size according to the images but do somehow seem smaller but these things happen- anyways I made a quick comparison of small and large- what do you think small or large or somewhere between?

You made a lot of progress since the last time i looked! It's looking nice and smooth but the tires could be a bit rounder, they are a bit low poly in the otherwise smooth model.
Old 01 January 2013   #37
Definetly the bigger ones! Looks more aggressive!

Thanks guys for the info- i don't think I had them smoothed yet but they def are now. Will post soon.

Do you have a wire for the tire or is it a bump?

Actually it's just a displacement map I hand painted in PS and colored- here is the Difuse map (nothing much to the displacement but just in grays)

Fixed the door and windows on the sides to make it flow better, happy with the results and with that I think I am through with this project (at least for now, maybe I'll tweak it more down the road) and scrapped the interior which was prob 80% done but won't be seen anyways. So without further ado:
