Hardcore Modeling Challenge #36: Hollywood Dreammachine: Conquest Knight XV Fast Five

I've been wanting to model this vehicle ever since I watched Fast Five and also I've never been able to model a vehicle yet so this'll be fun.

Did a bit more research on the Fast Five movie and apparently it's a Gurkha not a customized Conquest Knight can't find any blue prints too except for the side view in Terradyne's website anyway I'll be starting later.

Nice choice. Whatever it is, it's pretty sweet looking. Good luck!

Thanks japetus, I see you're still using Ace McCloud as your avatar hehe, good luck with your Judge Dredd Land Rover wanted to model that actually before this one.

Thanks Scote! Was looking for a really good front view of this truck. Good luck with your Police Car!

started blocking out the shape of the Gurkha:

by the way, does anybody know how I could get back the options at the viewport? the one that says file, shading, lighting etc? I don't know what happened it just suddenly disappeared

razeverius,

Go into your preferences (Window>Settings/Preferences>Preferences) and click the very first list item (Interface). Check the second box that says "Show menubar [] In panels". I always had this problem and could never find it because I always overlooked those list items in the Preferences thinking they were just titles for a list item section...

But anyway, that's where it is

Hope this helps!

razeverius,

Not sure if you found the answer yet, but that little menu strip you're missing is called the Panel Menubar. You can turn it on and off from your preferences (Window>Settings/Preferences>Preferences).

From there, click the first list item on the left (Interface). In there, it's the second option named "Show menubar [] In panels".

I always had this problem, and never found it because I always overlooked those options in the Preferences as titles to the list item section rather than clickable list items.

Hope this helps! Good luck to you

@FisherBlack- Thanks for the help! been going through a lot of options and couldn't figure out what it was called I wonder why it disappeared though.

Blocked out the Gurkha. Tomorrow I'll be starting with the front of this vehicle:

Fixed the front grille. Apparently there are different versions of the Gurkha's grille. Anyway another update is the bumper. Next thing I'll be working on will be the hood and I'll add some bolts and hinges on the bumper to complete it.
