This is most likely user error, but I have a problem. See below!
So I have a hacky system setup to create bubbles from a realflow sim that uses
a percent of the original and some wind to force them up. Upon collision with the
frost mesh they are culled. It's nothing fancy, no velocity based creation of the
bubbles based on the original RF stuff(wouldn't know where to start).
It's easy for me to add this flow to a mesher and Alembic it out, works perfectly and
is quick and sleazy to scrub. Problem is, that some funky stuff going on with random
workstations crying trying to do the Alembic import that works fine on other machines.
So, I've tried to just use Krakatoa to save out the resultant PFlow data to load with PRT
and just frost metaball it, but it ends up saving out all the particles, not just the 100-200 that the flow creates. It's like Krakatoa isn't taking notice of all the flow. Again, maybe user
Baking scripts seem to fall over too. Another idea I had for bubbles that would just maintain the realflow sims motion and wouldn't be subject to extra force pushing them up is to add a KCM to the PRT and cull by something (velocity, random?) and output as selection, which has a Krakatoa delete modifier on top, and either frost these?

Since you have the Render operator in the Global node of the PF Source you will always cache all particles. If you move and create instances in only the events you want to cache it will work.
See example attached:
1. Save to PRT the "Cache Me First" Flow.
2. Load that into the "PRT Loader_Load_Base_Flow_here" PRT Loader.
3. Update the Pflow ops.
4. Save to PRT in a new folder and load back into the other PRT loader to verify.
That should do the trick.
