Scene files Freeze on Load with Pflow/fumefx follow

I have been running into this quite regularly with Max 2012 updated, fume FX 3.0, and pflow fume fx follow..

When ever I try to load a scene file with this combination it always hangs up, loads the scene maybe 1 in 10 times of trying it. It does not come up after waiting it just hangs, when it does work it loads flawlessly in a couple seconds.

Now it always seems to be this combination Fume fx sim ---> Pflow using fume fx follow and fume fx birth..

I have tried saving new versions. to no avail..

What version of Fume exactly? You are using max2012, are you using the Nitrous viewport driver? Some more specifics about your scene or better a scene that reproduces the issue you are having for others to test against.

I can take a guess have you tried theses things:

Are particles already born on your start frame? ie they exist in frame 0. So when you open the scene pflow has to read your fume cache then create particles for it?

Have you tried merging all into a new scene?

Have you tried removing and adding a new set of FumeFX PFlow operators?
