Control birth rate by object speed

I have to make tons of particle layers for characters, one of them has to spawn particles. If he moves fast, plenty of them and none if he does not move.
There should be a simple solution for this, but since I am a pflow noob I can't find a solution to control the birth rate of a pflow system via the speed of the emitter object.
Any ideas?

You can add a Float Script to the Birth Rate that gets two points in space each at a different time, ie a frame before the other, subtract one from the other to get the distance traveled, then add a multiplier if you like to boost the rate.

Gimme a sec I'll post an example.

Not sure if this is accurate but:

Could you not also have a Speed Test inside your first event, where the particles are being birthed, that links to a Spawn node if they are going a certain speed?

For instance:

Birth 1000 particles > Speed Test (if speed >= 50 > Go to Spawn?

or even go to an entire new Birth event.

Not sure if that makes sense, farely Pflow noob myself.

Thank you, works like a charm. Strange enough, at first 3dsmax came to a halt and eventually we figured out that this had to do with the mdd's we use to animate the characters.
With some keyframed helper objects, everything works as it should.

Sorry for getting back at you so late
