Help with a project, Thanks

Greetings everyone,

I was hoping that someone could share some insight on how to model something like this:
HTML Code:
http://videos.artinfo.com/video/The-Making-of-the-FACETURE-Vase;recent#c=BWHNWH2868NYL9VK&t=The%20Making%20of%20the%20%22FACETURE%22%20Vase

Any help would be great!
Cheers

Hey there!

Not sure if you are still working on this project or not, but I thought I'd give some input still!

In the beginning of the video, you can see him starting off with a sheet of the material and the triangle template beneath to help him "cut/sculpt" the design. You'll want to use the same process. Make a rectangular mesh with that triangle pattern. Connect the edges/vertices to form a "cylinder." Following that, you can simply push and pull vertices to create the height variations and come up with some cool looking surface patterns!

I will try to come up with an example later!
